Mercurion Systems offers a range of services and solutions to our customers.  With experience and expertise in areas like Active Directory, messaging and collaboration, network security, and storage, we have the experience and the expertise necessary to make these services and solutions effective for our customers.  Our experience and expertise is teamed up with our consultative approach which ensures full knowledge transfer.

Services

Some of the services we provide to our customers include:

  • Hourly, on-demand support/consulting:  For on-demand technical support, consulting, or other needs, Mercurion Systems offers services billed by the hour.  Projects such as network design, network installation, network troubleshooting, new PC installation, OS or network upgrades, and similar tasks all fall into this type of service provided to our customers.  Schools and charitable non-profits receive discounted rates for these hourly services.
  • Prepaid support/consulting:  For larger projects, migrations, or long-term support and maintenance, customers can also choose to purchase prepaid blocks of support/consulting time.  Customers get lower hourly rates billed against the prepaid block and the freedom to call for support whenever it is needed.
  • Monthly maintenance contracts:  For customers who want to enjoy predictable monthly billing and proactive maintenance services designed to promote network reliability, stability, and security, Mercurion Systems offers monthly maintenance contracts that bundle services together for a flat monthly fee.
  • Network security assessment:  Mercurion Systems can use industry-standard tools and applications to perform a network security assessment and report on the findings.
  • Network design assessment:  Mercurion Systems can review your current network configuration and prepare recommendations and suggestions for improving network reliability and performance.
  • Server assessment:  After a thorough review of the current server configuration and usage, Mercurion Systems can offer suggestions for improved performance, recommendations on life expectancy and upgrade paths, and configuration changes to adhere to accepted "best practices" for your server operating system.

Solutions

Mercurion Systems also offers some prepackaged solutions for our customers as well.  These include:

  • Web Proxy Server:  For one flat fee, Mercurion Systems will take suitable hardware provided by the customer and setup an web proxy to provide an extra layer of security for the customer's inbound or outbound web traffic.  Adding a web proxy to protect Outlook Web Access (the web interface for Microsoft Exchange) is especially helpful in protecting customer's e-mail systems from web-based attacks.
  • Web Caching Server:  Mercurion Systems will take suitable hardware provided by the customer and setup an web caching server that will accelerate Internet access by caching frequently accessed web sites and graphics.  In addition, customers have the option of using this web cache to enforce content control, to ensure that employees are not visiting sites that are inappropriate for business.
  • Anti-Spam E-Mail Gateway:  For one flat fee, Mercurion Systems will take suitable hardware provided by the customer and setup an e-mail gateway that provides an extra layer of anti-spam and anti-virus protection for inbound e-mail traffic.  Customers using Microsoft Exchange for their internal e-mail also have the option of forwarding quarantined spam to an Exchange public folder.  This is a great way to help reduce spam and provide enhanced protection against e-mail worms.
