Our Approach
Mercurion Systems takes a consultative approach with all our customers. Many
resellers and distributors can simply offer to sell a particular software title, server, or
network device. Rather than simply sell products, Mercurion Systems wants to build
relationships, so that we can offer our customers a range of services throughout the IT
lifecycle, as described below or in this flyer.
Evaluation and Recommendation
The consultative approach begins with education. Outside of the technology
field, who has time to keep track of all the latest developments and trends?
We make time to stay abreast of technologies, products, concepts, and trends, and we
use that information for two key purposes. First, armed with that
knowledge, Mercurion Systems can help you understand and evaluate the options available
on the market. Second, we make recommendations on which product best suits your
needs. Windows Server 2003 or Linux? What about Mac OS X Server?
Once the product list has been determined, Mercurion Systems can then
begin to assist in the design and planning stages.
Design and Planning
Mercurion Systems' collaborative, team-building approach continues as we work
hand-in-hand with your in-house IT staff (if any) to design the solution and plan its
implementation. Comprehensive designs and meticulous plans are the key to
success for all types of projects.
Implementation
After the design has been established and the project plan has been created,
our approach calls for Mercurion Systems to get the project implemented in close cooperation
with the customer's key personnel. It's not just enough to implement it, though, as
we make the effort at every step of the process to ensure that the appropriate
documentation is being created and that knowledge transfer is
occurring. A satisfied customer is a customer who has been given the information he or
she needs to be informed about the project, it's status, and the tasks and issues that arise
during implementation. No one likes surprises.
Support and Maintenance
After the project is done and the new technology has been implemented,
Mercurion Systems assists in the ongoing maintenance, support, and
administration of the technology. Whether this is through managed services
with regularly scheduled visits or through as-needed on-site visits, Mercurion
Systems follows through after project completion to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operational documentation, such as "how to" documents or written procedures, are also
a key component.
